Law Students, Paralegals, Legal Professionals
The Volunteer Lawyers Project has opportunities for law students, paralegals and other legal professionals to help lawyers provide free legal assistance. By volunteering through VLP, you will gain practical legal skills, work alongside experienced lawyers, and improve your communication skills. VLP has a particular need for bilingual volunteers, especially in Spanish.
Non-lawyers cannot give legal advice, but they can help:
- pre-screen applicants at legal clinics.
- applicants complete paperwork at clinics.
- assist a volunteer lawyer with a pro bono case.
- provide support at a VLP office.
